    Jumbies Review & Giveaway

Jumbies Review by Mommy's Coupon Fairy
So - what is a Jumbies? Jumbies are jumbled animals of course!  They are newest and cutest in stuffed animals; two adorable animals rolled into one.  The Jumbies line includes twelve different species that are sure to entertain you and your children!! Pictured to the left is Kloie; she is part horse and part butterfly.  Her birthday is May 21, 2008 and her motto is "When horsefly".
Darwin - a Duckey has a breed mix or part monkey and part duck.  He was born on November 1, 2008.  His motto is "Life's just Duckey.
Yuri is Moosecow and part moose and part cow.  He is 2 1/2 years old and was born on August 31.  His motto is "From moosecow with love."
Warner - a Tyramasaurus is part tyrannosauras rex and part ram.  He will be 3 on June 22 and he lives by the motto "Don't ask me, look it up in the Tyramasaurus!!

We received our Jumbies package in the mail and were delighted to find Leopold and Arthur inside!  My kids just loved the strange animal creations!  The concept of Jumbies is fun!  The kids and I had a fun time trying to guess what two animals each Jumbies was made of !

    Name: Leopold

Breed Mix: Leopard & Hornbill Bird

DOJ (Date of Jumble): January 26th, 2008

Motto: “Leopirds don’t change their spots”

    Name: Arthur

    Breed Mix: Camel & Oscelot

DOJ (Date of Jumble): August 1st, 2008

Motto: “Give a little – get a lot, spend it at Camelot!”

Here is the Story of Jumbies -
There were more babies being born than ever before. The storks had to deliver them from shore to shore. There were baby elephants, bears, dogs, and cats. They had tigers, skunks and even baby bats!
You could also find raccoons, deer, mice and whales. There were camels, sharks and dinosaurs with long tails. There were koalas, kangaroos and chimpanzees. The storks had all kinds of fish and even bumblebees! They had to deliver them in the north, south, east and west.
There was so much to do they had little time for rest. They flew to America, Europe, Antarctica and down under. They went to Africa and Asia trying not to blunder. There was not a place on earth where the storks did not fly. Everywhere in the world the storks filled up the sky. They had to move real fast for there was no time to be slow.
It began to get very confusing on where they had to go. Some storks turned left when they should have turned right. Some storks flew all day when they should have flown at night. Other storks flew east when they should have gone west. Everything went wrong even though they were trying their best. Then in began to happen in a flash! One by one they started to CRASH!!!
The storks smashed right into each other. It kept happening one after the other. They crashed in the clouds up in the air. There were stork feathers everywhere! They landed in the water, the trees and in the dirt. It was a miracle that none of the storks were hurt.  Then they quickly went to see if the babies were okay. The babies were fine but the storks did not know what to say. When the storks crashed and tumbled, it appeared all the animal babies were jumbled! The storks could not believe their eyes. These babies were quite a surprise. They still looked very lovable and sweet. But they were very different from their head to their feet.
There were no more zebras or elephants. But they found lots and lots of Zelephants! They looked for giraffes and buffaloes. But the storks only found Giraffaloes! These jumbled babies became a new breed. So they called them JUMBiES the storks agreed.
There were no lions, tigers or bears anywhere around. But they found thousands of these JUMBiES on the ground. Even bugs, birds and fish were not the same. The storks had to take all of the blame. Now since all the babies were a jumbled mix. The storks had a problem that was not easy to fix. It was not clear where these little ones were suppose to go. These babies were jumbled up so the storks did not know. They took the JUMBiES to a place with palm trees and white sand. The storks called this beautiful island JUMBiELAND.
But the JUMBiES still needed homes where they would be cared for. So the storks flew everywhere on earth and knocked on every door. The storks found homes with loving girls and boys. The JUMBiES have given them many new joys
But there are more JUMBiES that still happen every day. They too need homes that give them love in a special way. The storks continue to find homes for them like yours and mine. The JUMBiES need your special love because they are one of a kind.

    Giant Microbes Review & Giveaway

     Giant Microbes Review
GIANTmicrobes  has to be one of the most interesting web sites I have ever visited.  It both fascinated and disturbed me all at the same time.  Upon first click, I was wowed by a huge assortment of adorable plush toys and mesmerized by the animated versions of their vinyl figurines.  These toys are seriously cute and clever.  Giant microbes.com carries a diverse array of “microbes” divided into many categories, including Calamities (eg. the common cold), Critters (eg. the Bed Bug), and Aquatics (eg. the one-celled amoeba), just to name a few.  Whether you’re looking for a fun representation of the culprit behind the “kissing disease” or want to place a giant “fat cell” in the kitchen to convince yourself to close the fridge door, this site is for you.  These giant microbes are designed to accurately, yet artistically, depict the microscopic versions of these creepy crawlies and even come with a mini pamphlet with real images and information regarding the real-life microbe. So, you’re wondering why I was disturbed if these things are so cute?  Well, for instance, the oh so precious plush pink bug is actually cimex lectularius, the common bed bug.  The adorable vinyl version of cimex lectularius, complete with sleep cap and blankie, is appropriately named “Nibble.”  As I said, these things are adorably clever, but I can’t deny I felt a teensy bit itchy while looking at Nibble!
I was sent the Giant microbes Original 5-7 inch orange, plush amoeba to review. Okay, I have to admit that I originally was a bit skeptical as to the entertainment value of the stuffed amoeba, especially for the toddler crowd.  After all, we’re essentially talking about a giant, plush version of a microscopic blob.  Well, this is one mom who can admit when she’s wrong.  I was pleasantly surprised at the “cuteness factor” that oozed from my amoeba.  My almost 1 year old was immediately smitten.  The bright orange color apparently caught her eye and many wet kisses soon followed. It is one toy that gets many a second glance when we’re strolling the aisles at the local Target.  Although my kids are quite little right now, I like that the educational value of this toy will soon increase.  Once the wet kisses dry up, our stuffed amoeba will become an important visual representation of when my kids are introduced to the wonders of Biology in middle school.

    Zylie the Bear Review

Zylie the Bear Review by Mommy's Coupon Fairy

Zylie the Bear is a fashionable and cuddly 12 year old bear who is sure to excite your little girl.  Zylie is dressed in a modern and stylish outfit complete with skinny denim jean leggings, a signature flounce top, and a white blazer.  And no bear or little girl could be without her purse.  Zylie also carries an orange tote with her essentials inside: a map, her diary, and her Passport of course!

All Zylie's clothing is designed by esteemed clothing designer, Katie Fong.  This worldly bear comes with her very own adventure book!  She is soft and designed to dress and take everywhere just like a doll.

Zylie's co-founder Mary Mitton came up with the idea of Zylie the Bear when her daughter would dress her beloved stuff animals in her sister's doll clothes.  Mary thought the animals looked ridiculous in doll clothes and from there, Zylie the Bear was born.   Mary and her son soon began creating a world of fun and adventure around Zylie, with a series of fun children's books that follow Zylie on her global travels.  Zylie also has a line of fashionable outfits so she can be dressed, undressed, and fashionably coordinated with all of her accessories.  Zylie also has friends, including Shen the Panda!  Zylie and Shen serve as strong role models for kids based on the character traits and adventures that are depicted in their books!

When we received Zylie the Bear in the mail, my daughter could not have been more excited.  She is packaged in a sturdy box with her name and logo on it and looks almost too beautiful to play with.  Her clothes were adorable and she was the perfect size!  She is easy to pose and is fun to accessorize and fit right in with all of my daughter's other friends!  My daughter invited her to a tea party right away and began to ask questions about her map and her passport.  My daughter was very curious about Zylie andespecially liked reading the book about her adventures.

Zylie the Bear was created to serve a purpose for Mary and her children, but also has proved to be an educational tool for children through her exciting adventures.  Zylie is daring and inquisitive and loves to travel with her aunt, a world-renowned journalist.  During her travels around the world, children have the opportunity to experience and enrich their learning through reading about different cultures and countries.  The company works with prominent learning scientists to help make the most of the educational opportunities that Zylie offers.
Zylie the Bear and the creative minds behind the company continue to seek opportunities to expand on Zylie's experiences and to create compelling stories and educational messages.  Zylie the Bear also plans to introduce interactive games which model Zylie's adventures, the cultures she explores, the languages she encounters, and the history she learns along the way.
