The National Museum of American Jewish History unfurls across 25,000 square feet and 3.5 floors of space, featuring interactive exhibits and relaying more than 350 years of American Jewish life. Browse through the permanent collection, boasting authentic relics of Jewish art, charity, childhood, and sports. Spanning 3.5 floors, the core exhibition is categorized by time period, not illogically by scent. Foundations of Freedom (1654–1880) focuses on early immigration to the United States, and Dreams of Freedom (1880–1945) centers on the challenges faced by Jews after open immigration ended. Choices and Challenges of Freedom (1945–present) documents the Jewish movement from cities to the suburbs and activism to reduce jokes set in the Catskills. Only in America hones in on the experience of 18 exceptional Jews in America, including Albert Einstein, Esteé Lauder, and Sandy Koufax.
